Weston Library, 1st Floor,
Free
To celebrate Black History Month the Bodleian Libraries and Oxford SU invite you to a show and tell of items from the Weston Library Special Collections and Archives. Our Curators have selected items that showcase Black history, Black activism and Black culture from the 19th century onwards. From materials relating to the Anti-Slavery Society to photographs showcase life in 1960s Birmingham.
There are two sessions that will run 9.30-10.30 and 11-12. The sessions will be held in the Weston Library on the 1st floor. There is a lift available.
Note – we will showcase a variety of items from our archives, some of these materials may contain outdated and offensive terminology or discuss distressing topics such as slavery and apartheid.
If you're attending the event and have access needs, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Email us at: studentengagement@oxfordsu.ox.ac.uk and we'll do our very best to accommodate you.
